PeaceHealth St. John names new chief operating officer

She replaces Chief Administrative Officer Jake Childs, who left Jan. 10. The role's title was changed to chief operating officer after he left, said Debra Carnes, senior director of marketing and communications for PeaceHealth.

Sipin has spent nine months as interim chief operating officer at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, and is also system vice president for clinical services and operations. Before that, she spent four years as vice president of operations at PeaceHealth Sacred Heart at Riverbend in Springfield, Oregon. 

She is a respiratory therapist with over 25 years of healthcare experience in leadership and clinical roles, according to a PeaceHealth press release. She holds a bachelor's degree in business administration and a master's degree in management from the University of Redlands, a private university in Redland, California.
