Funding applications are due Sept. 28
The Washington State Department of Commerce is soliciting applications from tribal entities seeking capital financing from the Washington State Housing Trust Fund (HTF) Tribal Set-aside. Applications are due by 12 p.m. Pacific on Monday, Sept. 28.
This funding is only available to federally recognized tribes with land in Washington. There is $25.7 available in funding.

Who may apply for funding?
To be eligible for this funding opportunity, an applicant must be either:
- A federally recognized tribe with land in Washington, or
- A Tribally Designated Housing Entity (TDHE) operating under the control of a federally recognized tribe with land in Washington

The Multifamily Housing Unit (MHU) also held an application workshop on June 25. In this space, MHU overviewed application requirements and the expected review process.
Applicants can access technical assistance June 29 to Sept. 8. Applicants may also request waivers from certain NOFA requirements during this time.
Applications are due to Commerce by 12 p.m. (noon) Pacific Time on Monday, Sept. 28.
We expect to announce awards in January 2027.
