The Mariners Caravan is coming to town again.
Recently acquired pitcher Justus Sheffield joins relief pitcher Chasen Bradford with broadcasters Aaron Goldsmith and Ryan Rowland-Smith, who will come to Lower Columbia College on Monday afternoon for a question-and-answer and autograph session. Mariner Moose will also be in attendance for some hoof-pounds. The event runs from 4:30 to 6 p.m. in the Truman Myklebust Gymnasium at Lower Columbia College.
Sheffield was the primary return from the Yankees when the Mariners sent left-handed ace James Paxton to the Bronx, and was among New York’s top prospects. The southpaw starter finished the 2018 season with a 2.56 ERA at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and he pitched 2-⅔ major league innings as well.
The event is free, and open to all ages.
The three-week annual Mariners Caravan will make stops in 22 communities in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and British Columbia. Other stops during Week 1 of the Caravan include Portland, Hillsboro, Vancouver, Washington, Blaine, Vancouver, B.C. and Lynnwood.
A schedule of public appearances for the Caravan is available at mariners.com/caravan.
