TUKWILA — R.A. Long senior Ava Rodman adjusted well to the Bowlero lanes early en route to a six-game series total of 1,125 which resulted in a fifth-place medal at the 1A/2A State Championship at Bowlero in Tukwila on Friday.
Kelso senior Emily Strehle placed second at the 3A State bowling championship in Tukwila with a 1,139 series after six games. Strehle lost out on first place by one pin to Evergreen's Kierra Wilcox who bowled a total of 1,140.
The 3A and 2A State bowling championship will be contested at Bowlero in Tukwila. R.A. Long qualified as a team and is also sending Ava Rodman, Lily Mattison and Jade Walters to compete for the individual State championship. Mark Morris is sending senior Mahalia Perkins and Kelso is sending two seniors, Emily Strehle and Lindsay Walker who will compete for the 3A State championship.
