FRESNO, Calif. (AP) -- Tim Federowicz had three hits and three RBI, and Mike Hauschild allowed just five hits over 6 2/3 innings as the Fresno Grizzlies defeated the Reno Aces 7-6 on Monday. The Grizzlies swept the four-game series with the win.
Hauschild (1-1) allowed one run while striking out eight to pick up the win.
Up 1-0 in the third, Fresno added to its lead when J.D. Davis and Federowicz hit two-run singles.
Trailing 7-1, the Aces cut into the deficit with five runs in the ninth inning on home runs by Cody Decker, Marcus Littlewood, and Cesar Puello.
Taylor Clarke (1-2) went 4 2/3 innings, allowing five runs and six hits in the Pacific Coast League game. He also struck out one and walked four. Brendan McCurry recorded his second save of the season.
With the win, Fresno improved to 7-2 against Reno this season.
