However, while the new guidance for next year call to continue to aim for physical distancing of at least three feet between students in classroom settings and at least six feet in most situations outside of the classroom, "physical distancing recommendations should not prevent a school from offering full-time, in person learning to all students/families in the fall."

After the CDC said students could sit three feet apart instead of six in the classroom, districts have been working to fit students back into classrooms for five-day, in-person learning. Grades K-5 in Longview will return full time on Monday. The return of older students has been postponed until transmission in the area declines. 

Woodland students K-4 have already been back full-time for several weeks and the district to have grades 5-12 back in full-time class by the end of April. Castle Rock students will start moving to full-time April 12 and all students who want to be full time will be back by April 26. Kelso K-12 students will be back four days a week starting April 26.
