A difficult night for the Castle Rock volleyball team ended in a 3-2 (20-25, 23-25, 25-23, 25-20, 15-7) loss to King’s Way on Tuesday.
With the win, King’s Way finished its season undefeated and two games ahead of second-place Castle Rock, which fell to the Knights in five sets both times.
Logann Golden had 20 digs and 14 kills on Senior Night and was the “glue that held everything together,” coach Jeana Baynes said.
Manuela Nasser added 13 kills and 11 digs, Renee Holter had 28 assists and Brooke Wirkkala pitched in with 11 digs and eight kills.
Castle Rock (11-3, 7-2) takes on the 1A Evergreen Conference No. 3, which figures to be Forks next Wednesday at Montesano with a 5:30 p.m. start.
2A GSHLColumbia River 3, Mark Morris 0: Emma Fisher and Clarissa Escudero both notched six kills in a 25-16, 25-23, 25-18 Chieftains sweep on Tuesday.
Grace Huhta added 19 digs and four blocks to lead defensively, Madi Noel had 16 and Mariah Bost pitched in with 11.
Fisher also had three blocks and Jillian Salais had 12 assists.
Mark Morris (6-7, 5-6) concludes its regular season on Thursday at home against R.A. Long. The Monarchs currently sit in fourth place in the 2A GSHL, good enough to claim a spot in the District 4 Tournament, which runs next week at Black Hills.
Ridgefield 3, R.A. Long 0: Jordan Williamson had five kills and six digs as the Spudders swept aside the Lumberjills 25-9, 25-6, 25-17 on Tuesday.
Kamryn Holmdahl added three kills and six digs, and Miranda Bergquist helped with seven assists and five digs.
Mari Galvan pitched in with five digs.
R.A. Long (2-12, 0-11) finishes up on Thursday at Mark Morris.
Woodland 3, Washougal 0: Emma Swett led the Beavers with 13 kills, eight digs, four aces and three blocks in a 25-22, 25-17, 25-17 on Tuesday.
Payton Foster added six kills, five aces and eight digs in the win. Kennedy Huesties added seven kills.
Liz Hurn led the defense with 16 digs and Leanna Russell had 10. Nicole Guthrie helped with 25 assists and four kills.
Woodland (9-4, 7-4) hosts Hockinson on Thursday in its finale. The Beavers have third place in the 2A GSHL locked up.

3A GSHLKelso 3, Hudson’s Bay 0: Bella Hadaller had 12 kills and seven digs as the Lassies swept the Eagles 25-17, 25-8, 25-18 on Tuesday.
Rielee Gourde had 21 digs to lead defensively, Ashley Noah had 30 helpers and four aces, and Ava Nichols had five blocks at the net.
Kelso (8-3, 6-1) continues league play on Thursday at Evergreen at 7 p.m.
Hockinson 7, Woodland 0: Kaley Weist recorded 16 saves in the Hawks’ blowout win on Tuesday.
