Fourth-ranked Tacoma rallied for seven in the last two innings to claim a 7-6 victory over fifth-ranked Lower Columbia College in the first game of an NWAC West Region baseball doubleheader on Monday at David Story Field.

The loss dropped LCC to 13-6, 4-2 in the region, while Tacoma moved to 20-0 and 6-0.
Tacoma tied the game at 4-4 in the eighth inning with a combination of three walks, a hit batter and two RBI singles. The Titans added three runs in the ninth inning with two walks, a pair of doubles and a sacrifice fly.
LCC responded in the bottom of the ninth with back-to-back one-out walks to Kyle Sandstrom and Hunter Cook, and a two-out, two-run RBI double from Ricky Muzzy. The rally ended when GJ Hurst flew out.
The Red Devils grabbed a 2-0 lead in the fourth inning with a solo homer from Ricky Muzzy, and an RBI single by DeShawn Johnson. In the seventh, LCC loaded the bases on walks to Johnson, Chase Hodkinson and Sandstrom with two outs. JT Strickler was hit by a pitch which scored Johnson, and Sam Trend-Beacom milked a walk which plated Hodkinson.
LCC had eight hits. Muzzy was 2 for 5 with a double, home run and three RBIs, Hurst hit a double, and Sandstrom walked three times. Mitch Lines scattered three hits and struck out three through six innings, and Ryan Kaser allowed a hit and four walks in an inning. Derek Downey absorbed the loss after allowing three hits in an inning, and Johnson tossed an inning of one-hit relief.
In the nightcap, Tacoma broke a scoreless tie in the fourth inning after taking advantage of three walks and three wild pitches for a 1-0 lead.
The Red Devils visit Tacoma for a doubleheader today.
Evergreen 3, Kelso 1: Hunter Sweider scored on a penalty kick in the 58th minute for the Hilanders in a Greater St. Helens 3A League loss at McKenzie Stadium on Monday in Vancouver.
Kelso goalies Blake Sweider and Carlos Cruz combined for six saves.
Seaside Invitational: Ilwaco’s Makenzie Kaech grabbed fourth place as the Fishermen placed third in the seven-team tournament held at the Gearhart Golf Links on Monday in Gearhart, Ore.
Scappoose won the tournament scored in the Modified Stableford System with 161 points. Astoria placed second with 125, Ilwaco was third with 118, and Wahkiakum placed fifth with 30.
Kaech finished with 37 points. Madeline Jacobson was 10th with 30, Maddy Chabot was 11th with 26, and Faith Richardson 12th with 25.
For Wahkiakum, Heidi Bruntmeyer was ninth for 30 points.
Mark Morris 224, Hudson’s Bay inc.: Mark Morris’ Brooke Deering medaled after shooting a 50 in a nonleague match at the Longview Country Club on Monday.
Also for MM, Clarissa Escudero shot a 55, Grace Hedlund had a 56, and Sophia Billegier finished with 64.
