Ilwaco's Elizabeth McMullen was a two-event winner at the Daily Astorian Invitational on Saturday at Seaside High School. 

McMullen topped the 100 hurdles with a time of 17.02 seconds, and cleared 15 feet, .5 inches in the long jump to top the field. Teammate Carli Kemmer won the 3,000 with a personal best 13:47.51. 

Also on the girls' side, Naselle's Echo Cenci finished second in the 400 (1:06.67), Ilwaco's Alyssa Marsh finished second in the 300 hurdles (54.74) and the Fishermen 4x400 relay team of Tiana Ramsey, Abby Knopski, Estella Sheldon and Marsh finished second (4:38.73). Naselle's Sophie Scrabeck placed second in the pole vault (8-0) and Jaclyn Steenerson was second in the high jump (4-8). Third-place finishers included Naselle's Ellie Miller in the discus (93-4), Scrabeck in the javelin (100-7) and Ilwaco's Estella Sheldon in the high jump (4-6). 

For the boys, Ilwaco freshman Daniel Quintana was the lone local winner, topping the 1500 field with a time of 4:28.34. Quintana also placed second in the 800 (2:08.75). Other notable locals included a second-place finish from Naselle's Faaoso Tutu'u in the 100 (12.32), a second-place finish from Ilwaco's Brandon Kuhn in the 400 (56.13) and a third-place finish from Rainier's Thomas Souther in the 800 (2:10.53). Ilwaco's Daniel Whiting was third in the 1500 (4:37.68). 

Rainier's Easton Crape was third in the shot put (46-4) and discus (119-3). Naselle's Cody Condon and Rainier's Nathaniel Falls tied for second in the pole vault (10-6). Naselle's Faaoso Tutu'u placed second in the long jump (17-11.25) and Ilwaco's Brandon Kuhn finished third (17-7.25). Ilwaco's Parker Kaech (41-4) and Kuhn (40-2) PR'd in the triple jump, finishing second and third, respectively. 

No team scores were reported. 

BASEBALL 

Woodland 7, King's Way Christian 2: Mickey Woodward struck out six and allowed just four hits in a complete game nonleague victory for the Beavers on Saturday in Vancouver. 

The Beavers helped him with eight hits, including a 3-5, two-RBI day from Brady Burns at the top of the lineup. Wyatt Wooden was 2-2 with an RBI and Seth Volesky was an RBI double. Travis Pitner tripled and scored two runs. 

The Beavers (5-5, 1-1 league) resume league play on Monday at Ridgefield.
