To believe that the Kalama methanol cacility will be solely used for olefins is saying, “I’ll just stick my head in the sand and believe what is being said.” Words on paper are one thing, but once the methanol is on a ship and headed overseas, anything goes. We can’t believe that it won’t be used for fuel. If we want beauty, as it is now in this community and throughout Washington, then we must stop this plant from happening, as well as future fossil fuel endeavors that will ultimately wreak havoc on our communities, rivers and lands. Governor Inslee is right in opposing this climate-wrecking proposal. Now we need the Department of Ecology to reject this project.
