In support of an earlier letter, I feel the recent court ruling that the Electoral College voters do not need to vote the will of the people in their state will eliminate the popular vote sooner than most people might think.

At a time when the percentage of people in this country who vote is shameful, we just gave more people a reason not to vote. Republican or Democrat, if this doesn't scare you then it's too late anyway.

The current POTUS lost the popular vote, but won the electoral vote — so the right thinks it's great. But don't forget, the pendulum swings both ways. Anyone who believes an electoral vote can't be bought has their head in the sand. Especially at this point in time when all seems to be for sale.

Would it not be nice if our local candidates had to claim party affiliation? No one in this day and age is "nonpartisan."
