Letters: Illegal activities

{{featured_button_text}}

Just recently I read that a “charitable” organization (Urban Revitalization Coalition) is attracting black voters with a kind of raffle promising  hundreds of dollars in financial rewards (in Cleveland, Virginia-postponed, and more in the pipeline).

The gatherings are promoting the candidacy of our current president.

I am quite sure this is illegal under IRS rules noting that 501(c)3s are prohibited from political activities.

I believe this is serious enough to warrant communicating with our federal representatives and senators.
