Letters: Fact checking

Who is fact checking?

Time after time we have witnessed Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) writers shading the facts to favor the applicant.

For example, the Environmental Impact Statement for the Tesoro-Savage Oil Terminal was so bad that the Washington State Attorney General's office told them to do it over and when they did, they said it was useless.

Who is fact checking the EIS for the Kalama methanol plant?

I don’t trust the Environmental Protection Agency. They regulate the factories in America’s cancer alley.

I don’t trust the project to still be standing when the big one hits either.
