Castle Rock voters have the opportunity in the upcoming election to weigh in on a bond measure for Castle Rock Schools. This bond measure would provide for the building of a new middle school and fund renovations to the elementary and high schools. Also included are critically needed upgrades to safety, security and technology. Admittedly, it is sometimes difficult to vote for any type of tax increase. However, in this case, rejection will only lead to higher costs down the road and the potential loss of $7 million in matching state funds.

The Castle Rock community has purposefully focused during the last several years on improving the quality of life for its residents. The combined efforts of a strong community and countless volunteers have made a striking difference where we live. Approval of this school bond will build on this success with a most significant improvement in quality of life and opportunity for our kids and young families. Please join me in voting for approval of the Castle Rock school bond measure.
