A grand jury Tuesday indicted three Clatskanie men on attempted murder and other charges relating to a Jan. 20 shooting in Clatskanie, according to Columbia County officials.
Seth Makinson, Tyson Lorentson and Trask Hill were arrested Wednesday and booked into Columbia County Jail. In addition to attempted murder, they are charged with first-degree attempted assault, unlawful use of a weapon and first-degree criminal mischief. Lorentson and Hill are also under suspicion of unlawful possession of cocaine.
The victim of the Jan. 20 shooting told investigators that the suspects fired into a vehicle parked at his residence. After securing footage from a neighbor’s security camera, deputies got a suspect vehicle description and identified Makinson, Lorentson and Hill as possible suspects.
Deputies later served a search warrant at one of the suspect’s residence, during which they seized multiple firearms, including the one used in the alleged shooting.
Bail was set at $176,000 for Makinson, $181,250 for Lorentson and $205,625 for Hill.
