Legendary singer Stevie Wonder has said in an interview with Oprah Winfrey that he is moving to Ghana. The ‘I Just Called to Say I Love You’ singer told Winfrey that he would like to see the U.S. “smile again” before he leaves. When asked if he was moving to Ghana permanently Wonder simply replied with “I am”. I don't want to see my children's children's children have to say, 'Oh please like me. Please respect me, please know that I am important, please value me.' What is that? Stevie Wonder. In 1994 Wonder also said that he wanted to move to Ghana, as he believes there’s “more of a sense of community” there. Wonder learned how to play the piano, drums and harmonica by the age of 9 and signed to the record label Motown in 1961.
