Firefighters from Cowlitz 2 Fire and Rescue and Longview Fire were called to a Willow Grove Road structure fire just before 3 a.m.

Upon arrival, crews found the two story structure heavily involved with fire and attacked the blaze from the exterior, a Cowlitz 2 press release said.

A total of six people were able to vacate the house and were accounted for on scene. One minor injury to a foot was reported but the patient declined to go to the hospital.

According to the press release, the fire was brought under control just after 4 a.m. Three engines, three water tenders, and a chief officer responded to the incident. Two water tenders from fire district 5 and Wahkiakum County were canceled in route.
