Veteran's Stand Down to take place Tuesday


The 10th annual Veteran's Stand Down will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Calvary Chapel at 902 Ash St., in Kelso.

The free resource fair will feature representatives from more than 35 organizations and companies offering services to veterans, military service members and their families. Agencies represented will include Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Health and Human Services, AARP, Social Security, WorkSource, Cowlitz Valley Service Center, Veterans of Foreign Wars, the 1414 Club and other substance abuse organizations, Arch of Cowlitz County and more.

Veterans can get free hair cuts and flu shots at the event. Light refreshments and lunch will be provided.
