Castle Rock School Board incumbent Val Tinney squeaked ahead of her opponent for the "at large" seat after Wednesday night's ballot count.

Although challenger Tracy Morgan held a narrow lead in the initial general election ballot count Tuesday night, Tinney gained a 25-vote lead in Wednesday's tally. Tinney has 49.9% of the vote, leading 986-961.

Castle Rock's library levy remained about four percentage points from passing. Wednesday night's ballot count had the levy with 235 "yes" votes, or about 56.6% approval. It needs 60% supermajority to pass.
