The Rainier School District is still looking for six more families to host visiting Chinese students from Jan. 26 through Feb. 2.
Superintendent Michael Carter said at Monday's school board meeting that host families simply need to give the students a place to sleep and two meals a day. The school district will provide all transportation to and from the school and other events the students will attend.
Carter added that families don't have to live in Rainier to host a Chinese student, but they should live less than 30 minutes away from the high school.
Although the students won't speak much English, Carter said when he hosted a Chinese student in the past, he and his wife used Google Translate to communicate, which was successful.
