Purse snatched — A young man with sandy blonde hair, blue jeans, a black beanie and a short-sleeved black shirt grabbed a woman’s purse out of a cart at about 7 p.m. Saturday night near Target, according to Kelso police dispatch records.

Theft — Woodland police Monday arrested Ryan Ashten Seward Arestad, 29, of Kelso on suspicion of retail theft, second-degree burglary and organized retail theft.

Burglary — Longview police Saturday arrested William Andrew Jacob, 22, of Longview on suspicion of residential burglary, retail theft, third-degree malicious mischief, third-degree theft and a felony drug offense.


  • 2100 block of 36th Avenue, Longview. Sunday. Residence broken into, safe stolen. Cash, passport, jewelry and other items stolen while residents were away.
  • 900 block of Ninth Avenue, Longview. Sunday. Safe containing guns and other valuables stolen from residence while residents were away.


  • Olequa Heights Road and McCrory Road, Castle Rock. Sunday. Wood splitter and four cords of wood stolen, worth a total of roughly $1,600.
  • 400 block of Three Rivers Drive, Kelso. Saturday. A 911 caller sold his Apple watch to a man who paid in counterfeit cash.
  • 2800 block of Ocean Beach Highway, Longview. Saturday. Several hundred dollars worth of merchandise.

  • nt Avenue, Castle Rock. Saturday night—Sunday morning. Several vehicles belonging to multiple people rifled through. At least one wallet taken.
  • 1600 block of Dike Road, Woodland. Saturday. Boat motor stolen, boat rummaged through.


  • 800 block of 14th Avenue, Longview. Sunday. Vehicle tires slashed.
  • 900 block of 16th Avenue, Longview. Sunday. Glass window broken.
  • 1600 block of Mark Morris Court, Longview. Sunday. Two people riding motorbikes on the grass at Mark Morris High School near the track and baseball field.
  • 800 block of Westside Highway, Kelso. Saturday. Cassette player stolen, back wing window broken.
  • Cherry Street, Castle Rock. Saturday. Highly intoxicated man arrested after screaming and kicking a person’s vehicle
