Recreational fishermen will have another chance to catch a white sturgeon this Saturday above the Wauna power lines.
The Oregon and Washington departments of Fish and Wildlife approved a one-day Columbia River fishery starting at river mile 40 upstream to the Bonneville Dam, according to a ODFW press release.

There are still about 540 fish available to catch under fishing guidelines, the release said, so the departments may consider opening another one-day fishery in the coming weeks.
The bag limit remains the same, according to the release, at one legal-sized sturgeon per day and two sturgeon per year.
