A shot was fired inside a Castle Rock home during a early Saturday morning, but no one was hurt, Castle Rock police said.
Sgt. Scott Neves said Joel Howard Darvell, 36, assaulted a woman in a residence in the 100 block of Green Acres Drive, Castle Rock, around 2:30 a.m. Saturday. When a teenage boy tried to intervene, Darvell assaulted him as well, police said. At one point during the argument, Darvell discharged a .45-caliber handgun, with the round striking an interior wall, police said.
Darvell was booked into the Cowlitz County Jail on suspicion of first-degree assault (domestic violence), fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) and unlawful possession of a firearm.
