The third-floor walls were going up Tuesday on the future Health and Science building at Lower Columbia College.

Although this photo doesn’t show it, brickwork also began this month on the 170-seat lecture hall.

The project is on schedule and running smoothly, said Nolan Wheeler, LCC vice president of administration.

The 70,000-square foot, three-story brick and stucco building will hold all the college’s health and science programs under one roof. The $38.5 million project is scheduled for completion early next year.
