Construction is progressing rapidly on the outer walls, and the beams are installed for the slanted roof of the 173-seat lecture hall in Lower Columbia College’s future health and science building.

Brickwork for the circular lecture hall will begin in April, said Nolan Wheeler, vice president of administration.

"Over the next couple of months, we will see construction of the third floor and the rooftop mechanical facilities," he said. By next fall a new 167-space parking lot should be open west of the 70,000-square-foot building.
