Neighbors in Need, The Daily News’ holiday season drive to help feed the needy, has reached $23,650.
The drive began on Thanksgiving and continues through New Year’s Day.
During the drive, TDN collects monetary donations and gives every penny to the Longview St. Vincent de Paul and the Salvation Army.
The newspaper pays all administrative costs.
Neighbors in Need has raised more than $1.27 million since it began in 1987. Last year, the annual drive collected $59,504. This year’s goal is $60,000.

$2,500: Cynthia and Stewart Dall in loving memory of Jim and Barbara Donnelly.
$200: Darryl DeSpain in memory of Elvin and Doris Sexton and Roy and Helen Gardner.
$125: anonymous in appreciation of the great service by Feltons’ Heating and Cooling.
$105: Sharon Adams in memory of Jack, Gladys and Tim Rose, Shelby Eveland, Linda Kickabush and Addie Archer.
$100: Cowlitz Valley Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Auxiliary No. 1045 in memory of all veterans and their service; and Judy and Gene Nazelrod.
$50: William B. Wechner in memory of Virginia.
$20: Sharon Adams in memory of Kricket Jansen.
