Lewis County authorities have arrested the mother of two brothers charged with killing a 16-year old Randle boy and burying him in a shallow grave last month.
Tuesday evening detectives arrested 43-year-old Kindra Rose Adamson of Randle on allegations of first-degree rendering criminal assistance.
According to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office, Adamson had knowledge of the boys’ crime, but sheriff’s officials declined to say specifically how she may have assisted her sons.
Officers arrested her at a Yakima County residence with assistance from the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office and U.S. Marshals Service. She is still listed as a Randle resident, and it was not clear why she had been in Yakima County, according to sheriff’s officials. She gave up without incident.
“Our agency will continue to hold those involved in this horrific act responsible for their actions,” Sheriff Robert Snaza said in a prepared statement. “This includes anyone else who may be identified as part of this investigation in the future.”
Benito S. Marquez, 16, and his brother Jonathan R. Adamson, 21, are accused in the beating death of 16-year-old Ben Eastman III. They are lodged in the Lewis County Jail on $10 million bail and are charged with first-degree murder, first-degree rape, tampering with physical evidence and unlawful disposal of remains.
The suspects told investigators they kicked Eastman at least 100 times over 20 to 45 minutes, and an autopsy supported those assertions.
Anyone having additional information on the incident are encouraged to call the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office at (360) 748-9286 or Lewis County Communications at (360) 740-1105.
