A Longview woman was injured Monday and charged with driving under the influence after turning left on a red light and hitting another car, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Laura Grendon, 52, was traveling northbound on State Route 411 (West Side Highway) shortly after 9 p.m. when she turned left on a red light at Nevada Drive and struck a southbound car southbound on a green light, according to the WSP.
Grendon was injured and taken to PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center. Her red 2016 Chevrolet Malibu was totaled.

The other driver, a 41-year-old woman from Castle Rock, was not injured, but her white 2002 Ford F-350 pickup was also was totaled.
Drugs or alcohol were involved, according to WSP, and Grendon was charged with a DUI.
