In a unanimous decision last week, the Longview School Board extended Superintendent Dan Zorn’s contract through June 30, 2022.

The contract includes a 1.9 percent “cost of living” raise for the 2019-20 school year. That raise will bring Zorn’s base pay to about $171,000, up from about $168,000.

The contract approval came after a superintendent review process launched by the board. Zorn’s contract was up for renewal in the next school year. The new contract takes effect on July 1, 2019.
