The Longview School Board will vote Monday to add six citizen representatives to the Strategic Plan Review Committee, which monitors the school improvement process.

The district accepted applications for the SPRC for two weeks to fill several open spots on the committee. Sarah Carman, Jessica Baker, Shawn Nyman, Nic Mather, Robert Roth and Ivy Masters submitted applications.

If appointed to the SPRC,theywill serve until November 2020.

Also Monday the board will vote to approve changes to its district transfer policies, which outline procedures for moving a student from one school to another within the district.

The changes would also allow students to transfer at the beginning of each semester, not just at the start of the school year, and parents would be able to apply year-round.

The meeting will also include a vote to adopt 2018-19 board goals, and an informational presentation on the demographic makeup of the district this year.

The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. in the School District Administration Building on Lilac Street.
