Lexington resident finds old jaw bone in garage

A Lexington resident called 911 Thursday afternoon after finding a human jaw bone with a couple of teeth while cleaning the garage, according to a dispatch report.

But the former owner of the home on Ponderosa Drive  came by and told the new resident the bone was "macabre decoration" that belonged to an old Air Force friend, the report said. It was with an old box of the friend's war memorabilia.

The jaw bone was "very old" judging by the dental work, the report said.
