A Kalama driver was injured in an early morning crash Monday in Vancouver.
Edwin L. Sherwood, 62, was southbound on Interstate 5 shortly before 5 a.m. near Milepost 6 when the vehicle hit an icy patch and struck the concrete barrier on the right, according to Washington State Patrol.
The vehicle, a 2001 Ford F350, rolled on top of the barrier and landed upright.

Sherwood was injured and taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center.
Drugs or alcohol were not involved in the crash, according to WSP, and the cause was speed that was too fast for conditions.
