A crash on Interstate 5 involving a car and a semi-truck about five miles south of Castle Rock backed up northbound traffic for about two hours late Thursday afternoon.

Washington State Patrol troopers were still working on clearing the accident around 6 p.m., according to dispatchers. Traffic was “getting by,” albeit slowly, dispatchers said.

The collision occurred near milepost 44, between Ostrander and Headquarters roads.

It was not immediately known whether there were any injuries.
