The Health Care Foundation has agreed to match up to $50,000 worth of donations to the Community Home Health and Hospice for charity care services at the Longview Hospice Care Center. Hospice will use the money to provide healthcare for individuals with limited finances or insurance, according to a Hospice press release.
Hospice is a community-based nonprofit healthcare agency serving 600 patients in Washington and Oregon. Its services include home care personal services, home health, home hospice, in-patient hospice care and bereavement services.
Friends of Hospice Southwest Washington has made the first gift toward the challenge, in the amount of $10,000. The gift specifically is for the care of veterans.
All cash donations designated for charity care for the Longview Hospice Care Center qualify for the challenge match.
