A suspected drowsy driver was taken to the hospital Monday after crashing a van into a log truck near Clatskanie.
The driver reportedly fell asleep and crashed his vehicle into the truck, which was stationary within a construction zone near milepost 63 on Highway 30, said Lt. Steve Mitchell of the Oregon State Police.
The highway was briefly closed to traffic.
The nature of the van driver's injuries were not immediately clear Tuesday morning.
The driver of the log truck was not injured, Mitchell said.
