A driver headed eastbound on Ocean Beach Highway led Cowlitz County sheriff’s deputies on a high-speed chase that ended near Napavine early Monday afternoon.
Deputies first picked up the Honda Civic going about 70 mph in the 1600 block of Ocean Beach Highway. They tried to stop the vehicle, but it was too foggy to see clearly, according to 911 dispatch logs.

The vehicle was then spotted getting on Interstate 5 at Exit 39 and deputies pursue it to Exit 52 north of Castle Rock.
Washington State Patrol troopers used a PIT maneuver and spike strips to stop the car near Napavine and arrest the driver. Further details were unavailable.
