Voters tapped Ron Huntington and Jeane Conrad to replace retiring members of the Kelso School Board.
Huntington outpolled Robert Johnson, winning 62.9% of the vote. Conrad won more narrowly, defeating Don Sharer by winning 51.7% of the vote.
Huntington, 46, says his main focuses will be updating school buildings and balancing the budget. He said he's visited every school to evaluate the learning environments and overall saw outdated and aging buildings.

With a background in manufacturing, he said he’s good at identifying waste and prioritizing budgets, and said he will bring extensive professional and educational experience, common sense and a strong moral compass to the board.
Conrad, 66, previously said she will focus on the budget, supporting teachers and Superintendent Mary Beth Tack and making sure the bond-funded elementary school construction projects are completed on time.
She also said she’s an engaged listener with a positive attitude, and said she gets all the facts before making decisions.
