Dave Becker's 1950 Studebaker coupe was certainly a hit at the 2015 Heritage Days Car Show at Clatskanie City Park.

Clatskanie’s annual Heritage Days event kicks off Saturday with the 29th annual Clatskanie Cruisers Car Show. The show runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Clatskanie City Park.

Heritage Days festivities include food vendors, kids’ games and raffles. The Quincy Grange Car Show pancake breakfast will be held before the show at the American Legion Hall from 7 to 10 a.m.

Saturday’s events at City Park also include Chapter T PEO’s “Pie in the Park” baking contest and pie sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and a screening of “Back to the Future” at dusk.

Be sure to pick up some fresh fruit and veggies at the Clatskanie Farmer’s Market at Cope’s Park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Also Saturday, the Clatskanie Garden Club Flower Show will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Prince and Princess in Training for kids ages 4 to 10 will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Clatskanie Cultural Center.

On Sunday, an all-school reunion will be held at noon at City Park.

For pet lovers, the Strut Your Mutt dog show is set for 6 p.m. Tuesday, also at City Park.

A variety of events is scheduled for Independence Day, including a parade along Nehalem and Northeast Fifth streets starting at 11 a.m. Those wishing to participate in the parade with a vehicle can line up at the Clatskanie High School and walking units and horses should go to the grade school.

Events on Thursday include music in City Park, food and vendors, bingo, bouncy houses, games, eating contests, a petting zoo, talent show and fireworks spectacular.
