Travelers who use southbound Interstate 5 near Castle Rock should plan to add extra travel time early next week.
Contractor crews will close two of the three lanes of the interstate beginning at 5 p.m. Monday, Aug 19, until 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 20, while the concrete deck of the Toutle River Bridge is repaired. The Barnes Road on-ramp to southbound I-5 also will be closed during that time.

The lane and ramp closures are needed to minimize vibrations as new concrete on the bridge cures, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
