A 27-year-old man who was arrested in February after he was tackled by an 82-year-old Longview man while fleeing police has been sent to prison for 15 years.

Morgan Perry Bluehorse pleaded guilty to 30 counts of burglary and related charges, according to the Cowlitz County Superior Court Clerk's Office, and was sentenced Tuesday to 180 months in prison.

Bluehorse’s case drew national attention in late February when, while leading police on a foot chase, he was tackled by 82-year-old Terry Miracle 3200 block of Nebraska Street, Longview.

Police said they eventually connected Bluehorse to dozens of unsolved burglaries.

In 2004, he was sentenced to nine years in prison for burglarizing 14 Longview businesses. He was released from prison Oct. 5.

Editor's note: A previous version of this story misstated the number of burglary counts Bluehorse pleaded to.
