Longview police Monday arrested Norlyn Louise Moxley, 26, of Kelso after she allegedly tried to claim a backpack containing a quarter-pound of meth.
Her boyfriend had left the pack in his geology class at Lower Columbia College, according to police dispatch reports.
Moxley was arrested on suspicion of a felony drug offense when she tried to collect the bag, which already had been turned over to campus security. Moxley attempted to claim possession of the bag by claiming it was “basalt” used to cut meth, but the substance field-tested positive as methamphetamine.
Moxley was booked into Cowlitz County Jail, and a probable cause order has been issued for her boyfriend.
