The Cowlitz-Wahkiakum Council of Governments invites area residents to participate in a survey that will be used to shape the agency’s electric and autonomous vehicle plan.

CWCOG is the lead agency for the regional transportation planning, providing planning services in Cowlitz, Grays Harbor, Lewis, Pacific and Wahkiakum counties in Washington as well as in Rainier, Ore.

The goal of the survey, according to a CWCOG press release, is to better understand both current and expected electric vehicle use and to hear opinions on self-driving vehicles.

The survey takes less than five minutes to complete and is available online through CWCOG at www.cwcog.org, or go to www.surveymonkey.com/r/EV_Survey.

The survey will be available until June 30. Upon request, the survey is available in alternative formats. Please direct questions to Robert Stevens at CWCOG by mail at 207 Fourth Ave. North, Admin Annex, Kelso, WA 98626; by email to rstevens@cwcog.org; or by fax at 360-214-3425.

Anyone needing special accommodations to participate in this process should call CWCOG at 360-577-3041 by 5 p.m., June 15, and ask for the ADA Coordinator. For TDD users, use the state’s toll-free relay service, 800-833-6388, and ask the operator to dial 360-956-7575.
