The Lower Columbia College Head Start, Early Head Start and Early Childhood Education Assistant Programs will start this fall on Sept. 4. Applications are now open, and forms are available in Spanish and English.

Head Start and ECEAP are open to eligible low-income children from Longview, Kelso, Castle Rock, Toutle and Kalama. The free classes are available part-day or all-day. The Early Head Start program is open to pregnant women who have children up to age 3. This year the program will serve 10 more families than last year.

More information about the programs can be found online at https://lowercolumbia.edu/head-start, at the Friday night Movies in the Park at Lake Sacajawea, at the Head Start booths at Squirrel Fest in Longview or the Highlander Iron Horse Rally in Kelso on Aug. 17.
