Ethan Lindstrom struck out eight and allowed just one hit over five innings as the Naselle Comets earned a 11-0 nonleague baseball win over Ilwaco on Saturday.
Also for Naselle (10-3, 6-0 league), Colton Lindstrom hit a two-run homer, while Warren Wirkkala and Clay Bergeson were both 2-for-3.
R.A. Long 6, Ridgefield 3: Jadon Williamson pitched 6 ⅔ innings, striking out seven against four hits as the Lumberjacks earned a Greater St. Helens League 2A victory on Saturday. Mitch Berquist, Ryan Plampin, Tanner Allen and Miles Trekas all recorded two hits each, while Trekas and Samuel Lindsay drove in two runs apiece.
Kevin Barnett induced a ground out to the mound to earn a save. R.A. Long is now 7-6 overall, 5-2 in league.

Kelso places high at the Canby Invite: The Kelso girls finished second and the boys placed third on Saturday. No other details were immediately available.
Red Devils sweep Tacoma: Lower Columbia beat Tacoma 6-4 in a doubleheader opening and finished with a 3-2 win Saturday.
The Northwest Athletic Conference West Region wins helped LCC (23-8, 10-3) to first place.
Yancy Bird fanned 11 over 7 ⅓ innings during the opener, allowing just one earned run on five hits. Alex Brady pitched the final two innings, striking out two.
A big seventh inning at the dish catapulted LCC from a 1-0 deficit, as leadoff hitter Trevor Paro singled and Drew Barlow and Trenton King scored. Paro and Chase Matheny scored on the next at bat, a single from DeShawn Johnson. The Red Devils added two more runs in the eighth inning.
The nightcap was similar. LCC trailed until the seventh and final inning before plating two runs for the walkoff win.
Kaden Vanderwerf pitched a complete game with two strikeouts and the only damage done in the first inning on a two-run Tacoma homer. Noah Andrews drove in Paro in the first inning to narrow the deficit before King scored on a single and Zach Threlfall crossed the plate on an error.
Lower Columbia sweeps Big Bend: Skyler Walker hit a walkoff single which led to a 9-8 LCC win in the opener of Saturday’s doubleheader before the Red Devils won 12-2 in the finale on Saturday. The two Northwest Athletic Conference South Region wins helped LCC hold a firm grip of second place.
The opener was decided by international tiebreaker after Big Bend piled up five runs in the seventh inning. Kinzey Williams went 3-for-4, as did Sarah Russell. Trinity Naugle earned the win, and Sarah Potwin scored twice.
The nightcap was more streamlined, as LCC took an 8-0 lead through the first inning and added a pair of runs in both the third and fourth innings. Sarah Russell drove in three runs, while Saydie Harris and Lauren Lunt drove in two runs apiece. Valeti Fifita scored three runs.
Naugle earned her second win of the day, giving up six hits and striking out two.
