Commerce Avenue can get pretty freaky on Friday nights, but a pro wrestler with a python and a man with a history of inserting a spinning power drill into his nostril are a few notches stranger than usual.
These attractions are typical parts of the Jim Rose Circus vs. Jake the Snake Roberts act coming to the Cadillac Island Casino in Longview on Friday evening.
The Jim Rose Circus, a freak/burlesque show which in the past has toured with Marilyn Manson, over the years has featured such delights as Mexican transvestite wrestlers and various body defilements, including Rose stapling a dollar bill to his forehead.
Rose is currently allied with Jake the Snake, an internationally known pro wrestler who uses a slithering reptile as a helper, along with the typical ringside chairs and death locks.
Also appearing will be wrestler Sinn Bohdi, previously known as Kizarney. The entourage includes Bebe the Circus Queen, whose stunts in past shows have included having someone put a watermelon on her back and split it with a sword, and Bebe lying on a bed of nails while weights are placed on her chest.
The show starts at 9 p.m. Friday at the casino at 1125 Commerce Ave. Tickets cost $12 at the door.
