“Abstractions,” a full-length film by Longview’s Jacob Rohrbach, will be shown at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 16 at Stageworks Northwest Theatre, 1433 Commerce Ave., Longview.

Admission is by freewill donation at the door.

The film tells the story of Paul (Ashton Ruiz), who is boarded up in his room during the apocalypse. He is haunted by his anxieties and the nightmares of the people he watched suffer. Then a voice on the radio (Emily Posey) begins speaking directly to him.

Director/screenwriter Rohrbach is quoted in a press release saying the film would be rated “PG-13 at most.” Although it is a psychological horror film, “it does not contain violent imagery or gore.”

He urges the public to “Come join the cast and crew for a night watching this dramatic take of the horror genre for the first time on the big screen!”
