Ray and Migdalia Etheridge invite filmmakers from Oregon and Washington to submit films for consideration for an indie film festival of short films they are bringing to Clatskanie.
Films must be no longer than 15 minutes, and may be of any genre, such as comedy, drama, horror, animation or documentary.
The Etheridges note in a press release that filmmakers from anywhere in the world are eligible to enter and the films for the day long event set to take place in August 2019 in the Clatskanie Cultural Center.
Films will be graded on a point system by a panel of five judges for their technical merits, acting, scripts and entertainment value.
According to the press release, judges are “are not looking for home movies or silly YouTube videos, but for serious, well made films with good stories.”
Organizers expect to receive about 150 films. The 40 with the highest points will be screened at the festival.
Award certificates will be presented in many categories.
