The African Children's Choir, made up of children 7 to 10 years old, will perform a concert at 7 pm. Oct. 3 at Kelso Christian Assembly, 403 Academy St., Kelso.

The program features children's songs, traditional spiritual songs and gospel.

Music For Life, the choir's parent organization, works in Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda and South Africa. More than 52,000 children have been educated through the program, according to a press release about the group, and MFL has impacted the lives of more than 100,000 people through its relief and development programs.

The choir has performed for presidents, heads of state and, most recently, for Queen Elizabeth II's diamond jubilee. They also have sung with Paul McCartney, Annie Lennox, Keith Urban, Mariah Carey, Michael W. Smith and others, notes the release.

Donations will be accepted. The performances support the choir programs such as education, care and relief, and development.
