Drawing and Colors for Children: 4-5 p.m. Tuesdays, Feb. 19 and 26, and March 12 and 19; ages 7-13, class size limited to 1-6 students. Class brings together basic drawing skills and combines them with color theory. For example, students can learn to draw animals while experimenting with various colors to bring the animal to life. Painting fruits can be connected to the primary colors. Students will use acrylic paints or other color materials as well as drawing materials such as pencils and charcoal. Wear clothes that can get paint on them. If can’t make a lesson, call instructor Scott McRae to schedule a makeup lesson. $60 for four classes.
Walking Through the Color Wheel: 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Mondays, Feb. 25, and March 4, 11 and 18; high school age through adult, class size limited to 1-6 students. Instructor Scott McRae will share what he knows about the color wheel and tricks in using it that he has found successful over the years.
