Wilma M. Cooper, 78, passed away at a Vancouver hospital Dec. 24, 2018, following a stroke.
She was born in St. Joseph, Mo., on June 2, 1940, to Edward and Helen Wilson.
On Feb. 5, 1973, Wilma married the love of her life, Ronald Cooper. They moved to Longview in 1992. Christmas was Wilma’s favorite time of year. She loved making Christmas cookies, and cream puffs for her bingo friends.
Wilma was preceded in death by a brother, Edward “Sonny” Wilson; and a sister, Linda Parker.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Ronald Cooper; a daughter, Magdalene Runions; two sons, Kevin Cooper and Edward Cooper; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary Allen and Effie Ellis.
A celebration of Sissy’s life is planned from noon to 4 p.m. Feb. 10 at the McLelland Arts Center.
